Before Joe left, we got to go to a D.C. Nationals ballgame with Tom (Joe's college friend, pictured with him here) and Kristine.
While Tom is a lifelong baseball fan, Kristine and I were nearly as entranced by the balletic field crew as by the players. Did you know that someone traces the batter's box in the dirt with a stick before drawing the white lines for it?
