Tower Grove House reopens

Hey, if you see Joyce, tell her congratulations! After I skipped town, she continued by herself the research and planning and writing and project management for the new interpretation at Tower Grove House. We'd started the project together a couple years ago, and it was supposed to have been finished after a year. But it's almost done now (I think there are still some exhibits to install in the basement) and the house has reopened with some acclaim.

I'll try to sneak in next weekend when I'm in St. Louis. If anyone goes, I'd love to hear what you think!

Here's a behind-the-scenes picture:

This bookcase is no longer in the house. When they removed it, they found a mural painted on the wall behind it, which has (I think) been restored.
